The primary activity at Harold F. Baldwin Park is hiking. You are invited to explore our 4 hiking trails, which will take you through the park’s diverse natural environments and offer a unique view of the region, while respecting park regulations.
Outdoor rock climbing, both summer and winter, is permitted at Harold F. Baldwin Park. Climbers must provide proof of membership with the FQME and sign the climbers’ register at the entrance of the trails.
*All other sports or recreational activities are prohibited within Parc Harold F. Baldwin without prior approval from the administration.
You must have a valid ticket at all times. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance of the park or through our ticketing service. Residents of the MRC de Coaticook must carry proof of residence and sign the MRC register to obtain their free admission.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset. Any presence outside of these hours is prohibited.
Traveling off trails causes trampling of vegetation, which can lead to erosion and premature degradation of trails and wildlife habitats. This degradation results in the need for repairs and additional costs. Trails are designed with hiker safety in mind. Leaving the trails can pose safety risks, especially in winter when snow may conceal potential hazards.
What is in the park stays in the park, and what you bring with you leaves with you. Please do not pick plants or collect rocks or branches. Kindly carry out your waste and dispose of it properly in the bins at the park entrance or at home.
To ensure the safety of climbers who may be present on the climbing walls, please do not throw anything from the cliff.
The park is a place of tranquility and connection with nature. Please respect this by keeping interactions quiet. All radios, speakers, or similar devices are prohibited within the park.
The park’s natural habitats are unique and home to several vulnerable species. A forest fire would have a devastating effect on the Mont Pinacle ecosystem. All fires are strictly prohibited within the park.
Out of respect for other hikers, smoking or vaping is prohibited within the park. In addition, cigarette butts could be sufficient to start a forest fire, which would have devastating effects on the park.
The consumption of alcohol within the park is prohibited to ensure your safety and that of other hikers. Thank you for your cooperation.
The consumption of marijuana or illicit substances within the park is prohibited to ensure your safety and that of other hikers. Thank you for your cooperation.
Any presence in the park after sunset is prohibited. Therefore, all forms of camping are prohibited within the park.
The use of drones is prohibited to preserve the tranquility of the area. This ban also serves to protect the park’s bird population, particularly the peregrine falcon. Additionally, drones may pose a risk to climbers on the rock face.
Only vehicles for park maintenance or emergency services are authorized within the park.
